Slimfast – The Tastier Alternative
So why is Slimfast ‘The Tastier Alternative’? Ask anybody who has tried losing weight by dieting, and they will tell you that sticking to a diet is very difficult. Why? Because whichever way you look at it, dieting always restricts you from consuming certain foods. This in turn means that there are only some foods you can eat... over and over and over again. Whilst some people can conform to this way of doing things, others find it difficult and the guidelines of the diet are soon broken.
With a range of products on offer and the ability for you to mix and match your favourite foods around their supplements, the Slimfast plan does not stress the elimination of any particular food from your diet. In fact slimfast encourages you spice it up a little so that boredom never becomes a factor.
The Plan
In following this plan on a daily basis, individuals are required to replace two of their meals with either a nutritionally balanced shake or meal bar. They are also required to consume a well balanced meal and healthy snack as their daily intake. This in turn encouraging portion control and good nutrition. As stated by the organisation themselves, anyone following the plan must replace, combine, dine and snack.
Replacing- It is suggested that anyone of your meals can be replaced with anyone of Slimfast’s Meal-On-The-Go shakes or bars. These products offer the balanced nutrition of a meal, with the vitamins and minerals needed to stay strong and healthy on a day to day basis. Another plus in regards to these meal replacements is that they help to keep hunger away for up to four hours. Thus, stopping cravings and the want to snack.
Combining- Another alternative is to combine any one of your favourite foods with a meal replacement, to make a delicious and satisfying meal combination. This is done by adding 200 calories of your own food to a Slimfast meal on-the-go shake or bar.
Dining- Although this plan does not eliminate any types of food, they do stress eating a well balanced, nutritious meal. This would normally include, half a plate of vegetables, a quarter of starch (preferably whole grain), a quarter of lean protein (like turkey, lean beef, chicken without skin or fish), with a salad on the side. A fruit salad or a serving of fruit is suggested for dessert.
Snacking- Eating a calorie controlled snack of fruit or vegetables, or even a serving of the likes of air popped popcorn can satisfy cravings between meals.
The great thing about this plan is that they understand that today’s lifestyle does not always allow us to eat the right things all of the times, so allowances are even made for fast foods and convenience foods. All that is requested is for the dieter on that particular day, to combine them the right way with the replacement meals on hand. With this being the case, this truly is a plan devised for anyone who needs variety in their diet and who can’t say no to their favourites.
